World Biomedical Science Week 2025 – Special Edition
This week, as we honor the Biomedical Scientists of the world, the unsung heroes behind every accurate test, critical diagnosis, and data point that shapes patient care, I am inspired to do something that lately has kept me up at night.
You see, each time I publish a new piece on how diagnostic professionals can pivot from traditional benchwork into consulting, public health, sales, data science, or entrepreneurship, something beautiful happens; I get DMs.
These messages are usually from brilliant lab professionals asking:
- “Can we talk about this pathway one-on-one?”
- “Do you know someone I can speak with?”
- “I want to explore data analytics, how do I start?”
And while I genuinely want to respond to everyone, between my 9-5 role, mummy duties, and all I’m building, I simply can’t always give the time each request deserves. I realized something deeper: we don’t need just answers. We need each other.
That’s why I’ve decided to create something bigger than a reply. Something stronger than a DM. Something community-powered. Something inspired from a scripture I love so much…
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”— Proverbs 27:17
With all the courage and audacity, I could muster I would like to introduce you all to #BenchToBusinessFellows
